New objects of joy :)

Are these! Aint they fab? Uggs aren't normally an extravigance i'd go for but i got these for £35 which i was very chuffed with! Ben is going to hate them, but who cares? I think they're awesome!!

Done another few applications today. I was applying for a bar job and even they have those stupid 'give us an example of...' things. I hate them, they actually make me angry. Much prefer the theatre way of ignoring your CV, phoning you if they're desperate for staff that day and then judging you on the spot. Much better than this psycho analysis nonsence! One of the questions on this form was 'what motivates you to get up every morning?' Oy. At that point i stopped the application, it's utter rubbish! So maybe it will have to be back to theatre but i hope not.

The boys have shot their film, it's for the empire competition, your fave film in a minute. So they' ve done resovior dogs. Next up, Die Hard. Brilliant!! So fingers crossed for them.

Pom Poms and other things

So today has mostly been about finding a job. And pom poms. I found some wool under the bed so thought why not? i haven't made them in years! Now just to find a use for them (scarf?)

Today has also been about finding a job. Didn't get the Costa one, which is no big surprise really since i have no experience in doing anything other than lighting and theatre. But the seasonal vacancies have gone up for the council so I've applied for one at the Botanics and will apply for the one in Craigtoun Park when i get in tonight. It takes so bloody long to fill the form in, it's crazy. At least it's a temporary contract so there's none of that career progression nonsense you normally get. Please, you need staff, i need a job. Oy. But i really fancy the botanics job, esp since just now i seem to be set on wanting to learn floristry so it would be good for that. Fingers crossed, though again I'll be lucky if i have the experience they're looking for (another bug bear of mine, i work hard and learn quickly, does previous experience really matter considering with any new job you have to go through training? hmm)

Going to find out if the gym is open, if so i'm gonna head up there. The bits i ordered to start making the hair slides are here so i'm gonna make a start on that too, yay!
